wrap it baby
the trend of mocking up print publications, zines, etc with clear plastic film and even stickers on top; it's super fucking weird. i think the trend started ironically from hype insta people mocking up circa 2000s style graphics cd cases and casettes etc. i understand that if your bulk printing shit in china they might shrink wrap your magazines or whatever. is the added protection worth the effort and waste of the plastic? but yeah, i don't get the unironic mock ups.
i recieved my copy of 'typographic 71' from the ISTD. had my article on the typographic landscape of sydney road published, which is pretty cool--although i'm not happy with the quality of some pictures. it's funny to read what i wrote over a year ago and how my perception and ideas have developed since.

new band, new video
one day back in feburary with my friend callum we recorded six tracks and a video. we had met the previous november. here is the video. it took me a while to get around to editing because my computer was so clogged up with shit (which i didn't realise was the problem.) we recorded it at studio dom and the surrounding koenji streets.
